The planes were coming one after the other ... following much the same routes.
I noticed that the sky was fairly cloud free for much of the day, but as the afternoon wore on and clouds started to appear, the chemtrail planes seemed to fly towards and away from the clouds, spraying into the clouds and along the natural course of the cloud ... making it appear that the clouds would drift into the path of the trails, which they did. The clouds merged together, but also displayed strange shapes and images.
Afterwards, the sky became murky and dull in colour and the clouds merged to become overcast and grey.
